PARKRUN GRANDSLAM INFO

New for 2020 is a trial run of a championship we’ve devised.  This one works in a similar way to the Fell and Road championships but in this championship, you can better your score’s throughout the year when you want.

We will be totting up the times of any male and female dashers who compete at any of the following ten parkrun’s throughout the year.

The parkruns are, Blackpool, Lytham Hall, Preston, Cuerdan Valley, Witton, Hyndburn, Clitheroe Castle, Burnley, Centre Vale and finally Pendle. These ten parkrun’s have a variety of terrain, elevation and difficulty, so hopefully we’ll find the best ‘all-rounder’ out there.

Whenever you attend these parkrun’s, your fastest time for the year will be counted.

The fastest dasher at each parkrun will get the maximum points and then the next fastest will get a slightly lower score and so on, and so forth.  The more grand-slam parkrun’s you do, the more points you can grab and the higher you will end up in the final standings.

The dasher who has done the most venues and has the highest accumulative score is crowned the ‘dasher grand slam champion’.

As with the Fell and Road Championship, there will be a male and female league so there will be two champions.

You can run any of these parkrun’s whenever you want and as many times as you want within the year.

This year’s results started on Saturday 14th December 2019 and runs up to Saturday 28th November 2020. Prizes will be handed out at the Christmas party.

This competition will have the same guidelines as the ‘dashers parkrun championship’. Good luck!!!
